Back Pain: Symptoms, Treatment, Prevention

Most people have back pain at least once. Pain usually occurs in the lower back. The cause can be a consequence of the most common cold, or it can be a serious injury.

Back pain can be constant or intermittent, acute or chronic. It depends on various situations. Common reasons for its appearance:

Pain varies by disease. For example, sudden or progressive pain can occur when a disc is impinged. It starts in the back and spreads to the hips and legs. A person needs to rest because exercise, sneezing, and coughing only increase the pain. Conditions such as appendicitis can cause severe back pain. If it does not subside, seek medical attention immediately! Symptoms of endometriosis are lower back pain and cramping. Often, the pain increases before or during the menstrual cycle. When the lower back is stretched, acute pain occurs, and with lateral movement, muscle spasms occur. Rest can make you feel better.

For an experienced doctor, it is sufficient to diagnose the disease by examining the spine and listening to the patient's complaints. But in some cases, these actions alone are not enough. In these cases, special diagnostic methods are used - X-rays, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging.

Helps relieve back pain and folk remedies:

  1. Grate horseradish and mix with sour cream. Place the resulting substance on the lower back, cover it with a napkin, and tie a wool scarf or scarf over it.
  2. Use St. John's wort, thyme, black elderberry, and chamomile. If the weather is cold, a warm compress of these herbs in a wrap will warm your back. This procedure is best done at night.
  3. Burdock leaves have healing properties. Dry them first, then pour boiling water over them and leave them on the sore spot for an hour.
  4. Buckeye is widely used. Thoroughly grind the dried flowers into powder, take melted lard and camphor oil and mix in equal proportions. Spread the mixture on a loaf of brown bread and apply to the painful area.
  5. Use a garlic infusion-based dressing. It is mixed with lemon juice. Soak a cotton napkin in this mixture and apply to the painful area for 20 minutes.

The best way to prevent back pain is to do a variety of physical exercises. Correct posture also needs to be monitored when walking and sitting. Weightlifting is not only taboo for women, but also for men.
